1842년 아편전쟁부터 시작된 170년의 서사. 허종규 연구원장이 세계적 인물들에게 직접 편지를 써서 "당신과의 경험을 책에 담아도 되겠습니까"라고 허락을 구하며 집필한 9권의 자전적 소설을 압축한 영상입니다. 거시적 관점(Macro-view)과 미시적 접근(Micro-approach)을 넘나들며, 홍콩에서 두바이까지 세계의 랜드마크를 배경으로 자본과 권력의 이동을 추적합니다. 국가 간의 조약, 기업의 신용, 개인의 신뢰 — 문명사회를 지탱하는 모든 것의 근본에는 '약속을 지키는 구조'가 있었습니다. "What is past is prologue" — 과거는 서막입니다.A grand narrative spanning 170 years from the 1842 Opium War. Research Director Jongku Huh personally wrote letters to world-renowned figures asking permission to include their shared experiences in his books. This video distills those nine autobiographical works, tracking the movement of capital and power across global landmarks from Hong Kong to Dubai through both macro and micro lenses. At the root of everything that sustains civilization — treaties between nations, corporate credit, personal trust — lies a structure of keeping promises. "What is past is prologue."

차이나대장정 — 70인의 14일, 11개 도시China Grand March — 70 People, 14 Days, 11 Cities
"저희들의 작은 출발이 시작됩니다." 여야 국회의원과 정·재계 전문가 70여 명이 중국 대륙을 향해 출발했습니다. 비행 7,000km, 육상 4,000km — 장강경제권과 주강델타경제권의 11개 도시를 14일간 횡단하며, 인공위성 자료로 거시적으로 조망하고 뒷골목 사람들을 만나는 미시적 접근을 동시에 시도한 전례 없는 여정이었습니다. 매일 현지에서 토론하고 인터넷으로 중계했습니다. 이 여정에서 만난 윌리엄 라이백 홍콩 금융감독국 수석 부총재를 금감원 부원장으로 영입 추진한 것이 실질적 정책 성과로 이어졌으며, 대장정의 기록은 원자바오 중국 총리에게 직접 전달되었습니다. 상해에서 보고서를 발표하며 "한국에도 중국을 이해하는 사람들이 있다"고 선언한 여정이었습니다.
이동 경로: 성도→중경→무한→소주→항주→의오→상해→광주→마카오→주해→심천→홍콩"Our small beginning starts now." Over 70 bipartisan lawmakers and experts set out across the Chinese mainland. 7,000km by air, 4,000km overland — traversing 11 cities across the Yangtze and Pearl River Delta economic zones over 14 days, combining satellite-level macro perspectives with street-level micro encounters. Daily on-site debates were broadcast live online. This journey led to the recruitment initiative of William Ryback, Senior Deputy Superintendent of Hong Kong's monetary authority, and the expedition record was delivered directly to Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.

도로, 항만, 공장, 고층 빌딩 — 대한민국은 40년간 하드웨어를 세계 최고 수준으로 쌓아올렸습니다. 그런데 왜 아직도 선진국 문턱에서 머뭇거리는가? 냉전이 끝나고 WTO 체제가 들어선 시대에, 국력을 결정하는 것은 무력이 아닌 경제적 효율성과 소프트웨어적 역량입니다. 제도, 의식, 글로벌 표준, 언어 능력 — 눈에 보이지 않는 것을 짓지 않으면 하드웨어적 발전은 한계에 부딪힙니다. 이승희 의원과 허종규 연구원장이 함께 만든 이 영상은 새로운 지도자들을 위해 제작되었지만, 소수만이 시청했습니다. 2026년 지금 다시 보면, 이 진단이 얼마나 예언적이었는지 놀라게 됩니다.Roads, ports, factories, skyscrapers — Korea built world-class hardware over 40 years. But why does it still hesitate at the advanced-nation threshold? In a post-Cold War WTO era, national power is determined not by military might but by economic efficiency and software capability. Institutions, awareness, global standards, language — without building the invisible, hardware alone hits its limits. Made for future leaders by Rep. Lee and Director Huh, this video was seen by only a few. Viewed today in 2026, its diagnosis proves remarkably prophetic.

"사명감과 문제의식을 가지고 집중해서 보는 사람이 단 한 명이라도 있다면, 그것으로 되었다는 마음으로 만들었다." 보좌진이 의원실에서 직접 제작하여 국회 예산결산특별위원회 영상서면질의로 활용되었고, 이명박정부 출범 시 고위 공직자 의무 시청 자료가 되었습니다. 국회도서관 소장. 세계적 CEO들의 리더십, 소통의 부재가 만드는 실패의 구조, 그리고 거창한 담론 너머에 있는 "내일이 기대되는 오늘"을 살고 싶은 평범한 사람들의 소망. 이 인디 정신이 인디써클 결성으로, 그리고 2026년 Active Neutrality로 진화했습니다."Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things." The first current-affairs film by a Korean politician. "Even if just one person watches with a sense of mission, that's enough." Produced in-house by the legislative office, it was used as video testimony in the National Assembly Budget Committee and became mandatory viewing for senior officials. Held in the National Assembly Library. Global CEO interviews on leadership, the structure of failure created by communication breakdowns, and beyond grand discourse — the humble wish of ordinary people to "live a today that looks forward to tomorrow." This indie spirit led to the Independent Circle and evolved into Active Neutrality in 2026.
여야 15명의 초당적 모임 — 한나라당 김덕룡·황우여·유승민, 통합민주당 이승희·신학용·원혜영 등. Active Neutrality의 원형이 되었습니다.A bipartisan group of 15 lawmakers — including Kim Deok-ryong, Hwang Woo-yea, Yoo Seung-min (GNP) and Lee Seung-hee, Shin Hak-yong, Won Hye-young (UDP). This became the prototype of Active Neutrality.
